Today is day 6 of grief
Today I’m angry
There’s no answer to it
It’s my brother’s birthday today
And it’s been almost a week since you died
And it’s an anomaly to me
How new beginnings start while others end
and that you’re gone, just like that
And that for the rest of our lives
The only thing of you that’s left is your memory
Your ephemerality is something i need to make peace with
